Miss Capital City Has New Directors

       Holly Stults and Karen Knotts are happy to announce that they are passing the Miss Capital City torch to two dynamic women with a good deal of pageant experience. Amber Penman previously competed in her home state of Michigan and has been working with our pageant for the past year. Lindsay Jarman has been involved in the Miss Tennessee program and served as a judge for Capital City last year. Holly and Karen will remain active with the pageant in supporting roles.
     Thanks for your work the past two years, Karen and Holly.  Welcome aboard, Amber and Lindsay!

Miss Northeast Scholarship Pageant Seeking Contestants

The Miss Northeast Scholarship Pageant, is seeking contestants, ages 13-24, for the Miss and Outstanding Teen divisions.  Contestants must live, work or attend school in Indiana and meet residence and age eligibility.   The pageant will be held Saturday July 23, 2016 at the T. Furth Center for the Performing Arts at Trine University in Angola.  The newly crowned Miss Northeast and Miss Northeast’s Outstanding Teen titleholders will compete at Miss Indiana in June of 2017.

 

Deadline for paperwork submission is July 7, 2016.  The pageant will take the first twelve (12) contestants each in the Miss and Outstanding Teen and divisions.   The Miss Northeast Scholarship Pageant reserves the right to accept more than twelve (12) contestants in the Miss and/or Outstanding Teen divisions if other divisions do not reach their maximum.

 

Although the deadline for paperwork submission is July 7th, it is possible that one or both divisions could be reach the maximum allowable submissions before the deadline date.

Current Miss Northeast, Emily Mishler placed in the Top 11, won the Preliminary Interview award, the Quality of Life award, Joy of Life scholarship, and the Hoosier Memorial Leadership scholarship totaling almost $4,000.00.  Chloe Benham, the current Miss Northeast’s Outstanding Teen placed 2nd runner at the state pageant and was a Quality of Life finalist.

The current combined scholarships and prize packages to be awarded at the Miss Northeast Scholarship pageant are valued at $11,000.
